Lower Keys Fishing Update
Great fishing this summer! Calm winds and bluebird skies make for fantastic days! The Mahi fishing is fantastic on the offshore side of things and deep dropping for Grouper, Tilefish, and Rosefish make for a relaxing break in between schools of Mahi. Lobster have been abundant and provide a lot of excitement for everyone. The inshore fishing has been as good as ever for Bonefish, Tarpon, and Permit swimming the backcountry flats.
There is no better time to fish for Mahi/Dolphin than right now. These fish show up in numbers along the weed lines and any floating debris you find. It is not uncommon to see a school of 20 Mahi swim up to the boat eager to eat just about any thing you cast to them. Mahi only live about 5 years and grow rapidly, so they are voracious eaters that devour anything from a cut bait to artificial plugs and lures as a result the action is fast paced and exciting. If you and your family have never experienced Mahi fishing I urge you to book a charter and spend a day with me chasing these beautiful vibrant colored critters of the deep.
If you are looking for a relaxing day at one of our local sandbars we can accomplish that as well. Experience our beautiful backcountry by boat and end up at Marvin, Content Keys or other local sandbars. Enjoy walking the shallow water and relaxing taking in the beautiful areas the surround the Lower Keys with your family and friends. This is a great way to enjoy a relaxing day on the water.
